Commitment to sustainability

Over the past 4 years of creating eco-friendly products, we have devoted much time and research into sourcing quality materials. We have been working with a custom fabric printer since the beginning who offers organic cotton fabrics and organic inks. Fortunately, this fabric printer offered small minimum orders which made it possible for us to test fabrics and to make small batches of our tea towels. This past October, our favorite printer experienced a significant health crisis. We do not know if he will be able to continue his business. We miss him and wish for him a healthy recovery. In the meantime, we must move forward.

Our custom printed home goods are cut and sewn in Kansas City. An average order of fabric has typically been about 12 yards

I’m the primary “cutter” which means I cut everything. I sew some formats and we contract sewing locally for tea towels, napkins and pouches.

We have been working with a new printing company lately which offers some organic cotton fabrics, we have added napkins in one of their fabrics. We made a special request and they have found a new organic canvas suitable for our tea towels. Because this is a special order, we will need to invest in a full bolt,100 yards, a huge investment for a small batch business. We are underway with plans for new products which will also use this fabric. As we move forward, we ask that you move forward with us. Every single purchase counts as we make this big investment.

I encourage you to support our small business during the first first quarter of the year — typically the slowest quarter of the year so that we can continue to offer our sustainable products that support biodiversity.
